Hutto Dental Family
We want to thank you for your patience during this pandemic. We know we would like for our lives to get back to normal as fast as we can, and we must take special steps to get there. We are all in new territory, but we want to assure you that our top priority is to keep our staff and patients healthy.
We will open starting next week 5/11/20. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety.
Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable.
Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued.
You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes as new regulations have been released to help protect our patients and staff. For example:
Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions. You’ll be asked those same questions again when you arrive at the office, and will have your temperature taken as now required by law.
You will be asked to use hand sanitizer or wash your hands after entry, and a pre-procedure rinse will be given to you.
Our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, children’s toys and so forth, since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect.
At this time we are not allowing companions in the office unless you require assistance due to mobility or you are a parent accompanying your underage child. A parent may come in with their child but must remain in waiting room. No one is allowed into treatment area except for dental personnel as we are required to wear an N95 mask. If you prefer to have someone accompany you, or you want to be present for your child's treatment, please wait to schedule until after the new regulations have been lifted.
Masks must be worn into the office and when leaving.
Our hygienist will be providing routine cleaning appointments, but at this time we are unable to utilize our ultrasonic (water-based scaler). You may choose to delay your appointment until this regulation has been lifted for your comfort.
Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. This may effect your previously scheduled appointment time. We will contact you if we need to adjust your arrival time.
We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time. You may call us from your car and we will text or call to let you know we are ready for you. This will allow us to properly check out and sanitize before you come in. At this time we are not allowing walk-ins. All appointments must be pre-booked and pre-screened. We apologize for any inconvenience.
We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice. To make an appointment, please call our office at 512-846-2468 or visit our website at www.huttodental.com
